...the first being the shoot I did with Mr. Regular. But even Mr. R wasn’t working with backdrops like these.
I joined up with a couple buddies (who have an Infiniti G37 S and Jaguar XF 5.0 Portfolio, respectively) and drove over to Shenandoah National Park this weekend for the shoot. The old girl looks good, I think. Hard to believe she turns 12 in a couple of months!

What is this the entry level exectutive crew? lol And while were at it how about that wheel gap, needs to come down at least 1.5”
Whats up with the back wheel being dirtier than the front? Drifto?
(P.S. I love that platform, almost jump in a w12)

Who has the better interior, the Infiniti or your Phaeton? The XF has a pretty terrible interior, from what I remember.

I am a tad biased, but the Phaeton by miles. And I actually love the interior in that XF. The suede headliner paired with the saddle interior and gray maple is just superb.

An S600/phaeton shoot would be cool.

The look is really nice, but I found the XF has a lot of hard plastic that is very out of place in a car that expensive.

How (un)reliable has the Phaeton been? Is it bad or just all negativity?

Most years it just needs regular maintenance. But maintenance is expensive, on par with the S-Class.

The Phaeton is the most thought though, as it should be for a car that expensive. The Jaguar has very few hard surfaces beyond the wood trim (which is real, as is the Phaeton’s) - Leather dash, suede headliner and soft touch plastics where there are any and aluminium trim . The Infiniti is sportier in design, it does have quite a few hard plastics, but it’s also not trying to be either of the others.
Truth is all 3 are very nice places to be and are very different beasts.

I guess I’ve just been spoiled by having been in many, many new XFs, XJs, and Range Rovers of all types. By comparison, the quality of the XF is just not that great to me. Also, it seems like >50% of people bought those older XJs with white leather, which isn’t very white after 50,000 miles.

I’ve driven a bunch of the new XF’, new XJ’s and recent XK’s as well as a few modern Land Rovers. Honestly I thought the newer XF’s took a dip in quality, they replaced and rethought some of the materials they used (Which I can understand why.. but don’t fully agree with) and it seems to be a bit more ‘meh’ - Comparing it to other luxury brands like Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes of the same era (it’s a 2010) I’d say it holds it own equally or better in terms of interior fit and finish.
Now is it flawless? Not quite. But what car is?
The older XJ’s and S-Types are not really comparable.

y’all look like you’re members of some organization, what with the high MSRP’s and black paint...
all look amazing though!
